Supreme Court Blocks Trump from Ending DACA

*Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals Lives On*

On June 18, 2020, the Supreme Court on Thursday blocked the Trump Administration from ending the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. The DACA program was introduced by the Obama Administration in 2012 to protect undocumented individuals brought to the United States as children from deportation as well as providing them with the ability to work.

The Supreme Court’s decision brings great relief to those individuals in DACA status who feared the loss of their ability to live and work in the United States. However, USCIS has yet to announce how it will implement the Supreme Court’s decision. We, at Law MJ Kim, are closely monitoring the situation to act appropriately once USCIS makes any announcements.
